“Seated Bather” is an iconic piece of art by the well known artist, Edgar Degas. In this image, a nude woman is seen from behind, seated and drying herself after a bath. With one arm extended in the air, the other arm dries her torso. The bathtub can be seen in the background.
This impressionistic piece is in the same style as many other images by the French artist. Like many of his pieces, it’s made of mostly pastel and feminine shades of pink, peach and light blues. Degas does an amazing job of capturing the details of the female body in this image, making her the clear focus while all other elements fade into the background.
A bathroom or feminine bedroom would be perfect for hanging this image in either a silver or gold frame, depending on the room décor. For a more authentic look, a framed canvas with brushstrokes would be an excellent decorating choice as well.
