Marc Lucien (Born in the 1960s) is an artist based in New York. He grew up in Bronx but decided to leave college to follow his interest in art and travelling. After leaving college, he traveled a lot, spending much of his time sketching and painting in the Florida Keys and the Caribbean. He says the best time for him is when he’s working on his art. When he returned to New York, he began working at a frame shop in Manhattan. His art is much inspired by the places he visited during his travels and the many people he interacted with. His art is admired by many people including his fellow artists. He developed a keenness to detail after realizing that the more his art looked more realistic, the more they attracted viewers and buyers. Today he’s one of the much sought after artists, and his art can be found gracing the walls of many galleries, institutions, museums and homes around the world.
The fact that he never completed college has not hindered his creativity. He also gets his inspiration from the fact that he has been looking at art everyday. Despite the fact that he was producing high quality art, Lucien began to experiment further with his painting. He could use different style and technique on each piece of art he was producing to ensure that it met the specifications of his clients. His art improved a great deal, and through the friends he had met at the frame shop he began to sell his work to local galleries. Today, his art can be found in several outlets throughout the world.
