Anna Schueler (Born 1955) was born in a small town in Germany where she currently lives and works full time. She is a mixed media artist a painter who focuses on collages and abstract paintings. Her work is shown in group and solo exhibitions including the Women’s Art Museum, Bonn, Germany and Art Fairs such as the Biennale Internationale, Italy. Her paintings are created from an attempt to capture the unknown that moves the souls of the viewers to find the spirit within. Anna works with oil paint as well as acrylics while retaining hazy backgrounds and delicate markings. She is a member of the Association of Visual Artist BBK Germany. Her art has been published in several national and international publications. Palette Art Magazine presented an article about her art in their November 2013 issue. She studied at the University of Dortmund. Anna works as an instructor for art classes at several Academies in Germany.
She also teaches at art retreats in South of France, the United States, at La Cascade, and in Portugal at Artparadise Estoril, near Lissabon. In her time at the university she learnt much from exhibiting artists, her colleagues and visitors. Her view towards art has evolved through her experiences at the university. She plans images in her head, looking to effectively use textures, patterns and shapes in her paintings. Sometimes an idea comes to her the moment he takes a paint brush but equally ideas can develop as she looks through her archive of paintings.
