Lisa Hill Saghini was born in Fort Lauderdale. She loves photography because it provides her with the ability to record an image that had an impact in her life...the privilege of looking at the image and immediately recalling how she felt when she was in that place, or some place like it makes her feel satisfied. She comes from a long line of artisans and artists who value creative successes above material ones. In fact, her father was a writer and artist and he helped to nurture Lisa’s love of using sketch pads, books, cameras and pencils. Her love of photography began when she was in grade school. She was given an assignment to compose a vignette, capture it on camera (film) and then develop the image in a darkroom. What came out of this project got her hooked to photography.
Her passion for all forms of art continued even when she joined The University of Florida where she studied art history. She always returned to her favorite artistic expression which is photography. is a true beach bum. She grew up in south Florida, where her childhood was spent either with a pair of boots or with toes in the sand, dividing her time between the barn and the beach. Today Lisa strives to breathe a bit of brackish-aired serenity into her art, whether it be in the images of her beloved horses, ocean, or any other subject. She’s so deep into photography that she can’t imagine doing something different.
