Lisa Merril joined Social Venture Partners in 1998 and has served on its K-12 Education Advocacy and Policy Committee, Early Childhood Development Grant Committee, and Outreach Committee. Lisa has served as Trustee on the Seattle Social Venture Partners Board since 2011. About 10 years ago, she co-founded Social Venture Partners’ Family Service Group with an objective of nurturing social responsibility in children through volunteering. The artist has the ability to create high-impact visual stories for diverse clients, including tourism organizations, travel companies, and non-profits working to tackle societal challenges and improve education. Her cultural and travel images have been published in numerous magazines, books and other media around the world. A skilled and inspiring educator, she enjoys helping people of all ages realize their potentials and their creativity and tell very important stories through photography.

She has online galleries at Merrill Images where her works can be viewed. Her works are also found at Transformative Travel Plus. Lisa holds an undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College and a Masters of Business Administration from Harvard Graduate School of Business. Prior to founding Merrill Images, she worked in high-tech marketing. Lisa lives with her husband John in Bellevue; they have two children. John and Lisa Merril are active in Bellevue’s Cultural Conversations group and they both enjoy hiking, skiing, whitewater rafting, cycling, and other adventures of the Pacific Northwest. The artist believes that early learning is important in enabling all children to do their best, and she’s a custodian of KidsQuest Children’s Museum.
