Janice Gaynor is an artist from Riverside in Northern California. She lives happily in the county with her husband and their little dog called Charlie. She began her career as a scientific illustrator for the Riverside County Parks Department and U.C Riverside, Geology Department illustrating flora and fauna. Inspired by the love of texture and color and by nature, her patterns are adaptable, lending themselves beautifully to gift and home décor. She later moved to a remote mountain community in Northern California, where she taught art, in the community's one room school house - K - 8th grades. Since that time she developed a wide-ranging line of both everyday and Judaic needlepoint and became one of the premier designers in the industry. Her work is sold internationally. Upscale and classic, her complimentary patterns and motifs offer a timeless, lovely quality to any product line.
Being in the art business for several years has provided her with enough experience to tell what her clients need. She’s therefore able to meet and exceed their expectations. Janice art is in several collections and galleries around the world. Many collectors like to stock them in large number because they are in great demand. She has participated in several art exhibitions where her art has been warmly received by viewers and critics. This is the motivating factor behind her work. She’s still open to learning new styles and techniques. That’s why she likes to surround herself with her fellow artists whom she can learn from.
