Charles Britt is an award winning photographer who graduated from Brooks Institute of Photography. He’s a member of Vancouver Association for Photographic Arts, Grunt Art Gallery, Presentation House, Surrey Art Gallery, and Or Gallery. The photographs he takes are largely classic portraiture with an element of fantasy and fun. He endeavors to treat each photograph as a unique work of art. He’s relaxed during every sitting and strives to encourage the clients to include something personal in the photograph that will help to tell a story. Britt has taught photography both locally at British Columbia Institute of Technology as well as Santa Barbara and the Maple Ridge Arts Council. He brings years of photographic skill into each image. Many of his works have been published by Canadian Art prints, and quite a number of them have been included in the top 10 best sellers. His works have also been featured at numerous galleries through out Canada and resides in private collections both in the United States and Canada.
He has held exhibitions in Port Moody Arts Centre, Blackberry Gallery, Winnipeg Art Gallery Art Rental, Langley Arts Festival, Maple Ridge Art Gallery, Vancouver Art Gallery Art Rental, Elmwood Juried Art Show, Ottawa, Amelia Douglas Gallery, Port Moody Library, B.C., Place Des Arts, Coqutlam, B.C, Terry Fox Library, Port Coquitlam, B.C., Shelley Tadman Gallery, Exposure Gallery, and Maple Ridge Art Gallery, just to name a few. His wife, Cathie, is also a photographer and they usually assist one another. Britt is involved in many community services including being the Guest Photographer for Riverside secondary schools, and taking photographs for Tri-Pod Film Co-op team.
